...yet.
Okay, so you've heard about the must-have advanced train tickets, large sum of money, the shoppings and the halal places to eat. But let me take care of the small little things that you'd be glad you knew before migrating to a foreign country.
1. Talk a lot. Days before, start adjusting yourself to total english or else you'll be stuck to a corner in the train, in library, at markets feeling like you don't belong.
2. SMILE. They will know you're not from there, so make yourself look harmless!
3. Buy a good fluffy beddings! You'll feel the urge to buy the Argos's cheapest, but trust me spending more on beddings goes a long way in the first few weeks.
4. Ask the Seniors if you can ws your parents. This. Is. Important. They are worried, let them know you're safely arrived.
5. Plan your week ahead. (and your money too) for Shopping, Uni visit, another Shopping.
6. Whatever they tell you, GO SETTLE THOSE DOCUMENTS FIRST. Get in line, be the earliest!
7. There are more seniors to talk to ( For example, me!)
8. Find your own pace to adapt, be calm, you'll find your comfort :)
9. Make new friends that is not all Asians. whenever you're at uni, talk to people. As simple as "How your day?""It's a bit cold today, innit?"
10. Be energetic! Go to gym! Run! (For gym session whatsapp: +447729054125)
P/S: If you want to spend some time playing board games or just chill and drink tea like the locals without any hidden agenda, my house is always there to visit.
Love,
Dee.
